In an astonishingly candid interview, David Calhoun, Boeing’s chief since January, took some direct shots at his predecessor, Dennis Muilenburg, who was fired in December over the manufacturer’s 737 Max crisis.

Chasing the “pot of gold”: Mr. Calhoun’s interview with the NYT’s Natalie Kitroeff and David Gelles included this dig: “If anybody ran over the rainbow for the pot of gold on stock, it would have been him,” he said of Mr. Muilenburg, suggesting that his predecessor had taken too many risks in hopes of pushing Boeing’s stock price higher.

It gets worse. Natalie and David shared the full transcript of that part of the conversation, and it appears Mr. Calhoun has a lesser opinion of Mr. Muilenburg even than that.
